Information is any statement, explanation, idea, or sign that contains value, meaning, and message, whether in the form of data, facts, or their reason, which can be seen, heard, and read, and is presented in various formats in line with the development of information and communication technology, either electronically or non-electronically.

Information of Public Interest is produced, stored, managed, sent, and/or received by a public body relating to the administration and implementation of the state and/or other public bodies, as regulated under Law Number 14 of 2008 on Public Information Disclosure, as well as other information related to the public interest.

Documents are data, records, and/or information created and/or received by a public body in the course of carrying out its activities, whether written on paper or other media, or recorded in any form, that can be viewed, read, or heard.

Documentation refers to the activity of storing data, records, and/or information created and/or received by a public body.

Public Bodies are executive, legislative, and judicial institutions, as well as other bodies whose main functions and duties are related to state administration, which are funded wholly or partly by the State Budget (APBN) and/or Regional Budget (APBD), or non-governmental organizations that are entirely or partly funded by the State Budget, Regional Budget, community contributions, and/or foreign sources.

PPID stands for Pejabat Pengelola Informasi dan Dokumentasi (Information and Documentation Management Officer). The PPID functions as the manager and provider of documents held by public bodies in accordance with Law Number 14 of 2008 on Public Information Disclosure. The existence of PPID ensures that the public can submit information requests more easily and efficiently through a one-stop service.
